Korea Electoral Fraud 2025 : No Access to Voter Roll, No Way to Verify Fraud
Audit of multiple voting blocked by authorities
South Korea’s centralized voter record, the Integrated Electoral Roll, is not open to post-election review—even to verify whether a person voted once or multiple times. Citizens and civil groups requested access to a single polling station’s records to verify irregularities, but the National Election Commission refused.
The video report by Lee Young-don TV highlighted fears that foreign nationals, including Chinese citizens, may have exploited the system by using South Korean IDs to vote repeatedly. With no audit trail accessible, such abuse is technically possible and virtually undetectable.
Without public access or independent oversight of the voter database, South Korea’s system remains closed to scrutiny. This undermines democratic credibility and raises fears that even identity-based manipulation could go unchecked.
Global democracies generally allow audits and recounts. South Korea’s complete denial of access places it in contrast with international standards for electoral transparency.
