[Official Manifesto of Goguryeo Press]
Goguryeo Press Formally Declares Full Support for the Iranian People’s Revolution for Liberty
Goguryeo Press stands resolute: the true ally of the Iranian people is not the autocratic regime, but the citizens themselves. We publicly endorse a peaceful transition toward liberal democracy and a rules-based market economy in Iran, and we offer our unwavering hopes for its success.
Iran is a nation of immense potential—endowed with vast energy reserves, a sophisticated educational infrastructure, and a dynamic, youthful population. Yet for decades, this potential has been forcibly shackled under the yoke of a religious autocracy. The cumulative toll of systemic mismanagement and international sanctions has left the economy in disarray. Inflation has hovered near 40 percent for years, according to international financial assessments, while youth unemployment has calcified into a structural crisis. This is not a failure of the Iranian people’s diligence or ingenuity; it is a profound failure of the regime itself.
The world remains haunted by the symbolic cruelty of this oppression. The 2022 death of Mahsa Amini, following her arrest for “improper” hijab, was not an isolated tragedy—it was a stark revelation of a system obsessed with controlling private life and human dignity. The ensuing nationwide protests marked a collective declaration that a society long coerced into silence would no longer accept fear as its governing principle.
This regime’s tyranny does not end at its borders. Its deepening alignment with an emerging axis of autocracy—including North Korea, Russia, and China—along with its continued sponsorship of armed proxies, has systematically destabilized the Middle East. These geopolitical gambits have never served the Iranian people. Instead, their cost has been exacted through prolonged isolation, punitive sanctions, and generations of stolen opportunity.
Goguryeo Press asserts that while faith itself must be respected, it forfeits all political legitimacy the moment it is weaponized as an instrument of state power to suppress citizens. A free press, an impartial judiciary, accountable governance, and a rules-based market economy in which innovation, labor, and capital are protected by law are the universal pillars of sustainable prosperity. Iran is no exception to this truth.
History bears witness that Iran has flourished most when it was a civilization defined by openness, exchange, and pluralism. Our call for transition is not an appeal to romanticize the past; it is a demand to reclaim the Persian tradition of intellectual openness and adapt it to institutions that breathe in tandem with the modern world. This transformation must not be imposed from without, but realized through the sovereign will of the Iranian people themselves.
A democratic Iran would not merely liberate its own citizens; it would recalibrate the strategic equilibrium of the Middle East, replacing chronic instability with a powerful anchor of peace, commerce, and regional cooperation.
People of Iran, rise and seize your freedom.
